Thai Buffalo Conservation Village @Suphan Buri

Hello, guys! We are Tuk Tuk Studio. This time, we take you all to travel outside the city. But, don’t worry. It’s not far from Bangkok, just take time to traveling about 2 hours.  We’re here, Suphan Buri province.

The province be filled with many tourist attractions. For today, we take you guys to visit to Thai Buffalo Conservation Village (Baan Kwai). Let’s go!

The place located at no.222, Suphanburi-Chai Nat Road, Wang Nam Sap Subdistrict, Si Prachan District, Suphan Buri Province. Conservation and preservation of traditions and cultures Thailand Heritage. In addition, as a project to supports the government’s policy by creating jobs, generating income and creating opportunities for communities and nearby communities in making livelihoods and occupation for sufficient living.

When walking inside, will find many Thai houses located within the area. Able to go up to see around house.

When visit around the Thai house, will get to atmosphere of the retro lifestyle and activities. Including, interesting places such as ancient farming that still uses the buffalo and traditional cultivation equipment.

Nearby, there will be a lot of buffalo stalls. The buffalo is a lovely animal. Moooooo~

Buffalo is a heavy animal, large body, thick body, black, albino and spotted leather, slightly hairy, long and narrow head with horny, hairy at the tip of tail. For milk breed buffalo, good to big breast, long nipples, milky white, high fat that can be used for many purposes. The usability of buffalo is farmer plowing and dragging carts as a vehicle.

Along with meat as food, leather is used to make leather goods.

Next to the back of the buffalo stalls, not far away. There is a coffee shop, Kin Fae Doo Fai (กินแฟ ดูฟาย) has a waterfront seat that allows us to sit and chill, get a cool breeze, look at the small fields beside.

A Lovely buffalo like to soak in the water to relieve heat.

When leaving the coffee shop, a little turn will meet with the farmer museum. Which collect equipment that used in agriculture.

This is a plough handle.

If anyone is interested in visiting peasant life. Traveling to this Thai Buffalo Conservation village, be a good place. Because, this place opened a learning center for children and interested people.

Entrance fee

  • (Thai people) 30 baht for adults, 20 baht for children
  • Adults 150 baht, children 70 baht (foreigners)

Date / Time

  • Open every day 9am – 6pm.

There is a performance about agriculture for 2 rounds on weekdays (Monday – Friday) from 11.00 – 11.30 hrs. and 15.00 – 15.30 hrs.

  • There are 3 rounds on holidays and official holidays, 11.00 – 12.00 hrs.
  • Afternoon time performance: 14.30 – 15.30 hrs. and 16.00 – 17.30 hrs.
