Go Around Bangkok City by Speedy Bus no.8 

Bus no.8” legendary bus on the road… famous of speedy and fastest that causing it be the Fast &Furious 8 of Thailand. Haha!  However, this bus can take you to go around Bangkok with very excited!  And we are Tuk Tuk Studio, we will take everyone to go around by bus no.8. Where can it take you to? Let’s see!

We start this trip at the station of bus No. 8. It located beside the memorial bridge. On the trip, we will travel long until the end of destination at Happyland Center! Alright, let’s get started.

1. The Memorial Bridge (Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge)

The Memorial Bridge, be the one of Landmarks to photograph! And the people come and enjoy the view of Chaophraya river. Anyway, we having to get on the bus no.8 around here. Let’s take a picture! Capture~

A bit of knowledge… “The Memorial Bridge” has an official name that “Pathom Boroma Rajanusorn Bridge“. It was built in the reign of King Rama 7 on the occasion of the establishing of Bangkok for 150 years. (Thai: Saphan Phutth (สะพานพุทธ))

Anyone who likes to take a photo, don’t miss to get here! Coming in the morning, the weather is very good, the wind cool breeze and not very hot.

2. Sampheng

We leaf from the memorial bridge and came to meet with “Sampeng“. It takes about 15 minutes. This place is famous for accessory, stationery and gift shop market at wholesale prices. With the cheap price! Enjoy shopping here!

Sampheng open for 2 times: the morning market, 1 a.m. – 6 a.m. This time will be the wholesale mostly. And the late in the morning market, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. be the time that people are popular to come for shopping.

In this moment, the trendy pin is coming.

3. Wat Sraket

After the shopping! It’s time to next place. That is “Wat Saket Rajavaravihara” or that many people are familiar with “Golden Mountain“.

A bit of knowledge … Wat Saket, formerly known as “Wat Sa Kae“, is an ancient temple. Built in the Ayutthaya period. And changed its name to be Wat Sraket during the reign of King Rama 1.

When arrived here, don’t miss to pay respect at “The Buddha’s relics” on the top. Get up the stairs for 344 steps!

When reached the top, we will see a 360 degree scenery of Bangkok. It’s suitable to take a picture the beautiful view.

The people often come to worship the relics that are enshrined in the large pagoda.

4. The Victory Monument

After that, we started to get hungry… a warning sign that should find something to eat! And the next place is “Victory Monument“. Here there are many delicious restaurants hidden away!

The shop that we fill the energy is the “Pa Yak“, a legendary noodle shop. Opened for more than 40 years, guaranteeing deliciousness with the shop is full of customer throughout the day!

Good tasty with rich and mellow soup, 12 baht per bowl!

5. Chatuchak Market

And then, we continued the trip at “Chatuchak Market“. A popular shopping destination for teenagers! There are many zones whether it is fashion, accessory, books, antiques stuff, second hand stuff, home decorative, trees, pets including the delicious food. Everything completed in one place!!

Let’s shopping!

Keep walking in the market, we meet the shop of delicious smell~ This is “Paella”or Spanish fried rice. Taste delicious with good smell of spices. The price is 160 baht per dish.

6. Vachirabenjatas Park (The Train Park)

From Chatuchak Market, we able to get to the train park by motorcycle hire. The price 40 baht / person.

The Train Park” or “Vachirabenjatas Park“, the green zone in the heart of the city. The people like to exercise, jogging, biking including picnic with family and friend. With evergreen and comfortable atmosphere. Moreover, it’s suitable to take a photo as well.

Anyone who would like to relax. Don’t miss to walking or biking at here.

The park open every day at 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.

7. Happyland Center

For anyone who is looking for good quality second hand clothes, visiting “Happyland Center“. A source of second hand clothing that updates fashion trends every week!! Ensure that you can walk all day.

After roaming all day, let’s take a break to fill the power at the Happyland Food Center. With the sushi shop, price starts at 10 baht per piece!

Wow~ it looks delicious. The price is reasonable and good quality. Try it!

Finished eating, we continuing to go up on the 2nd floor, will find a second hand clothing center. There are many choices for both men and women.

8. Tawanna Market

And our last one today is “Tawana Market“, a popular air-conditioned market in Bang Kapi district. Open for over 20 years! On the opposite side of the Happy Land Center. The market be filled with trendy clothing with reasonable price.

In addition, there is also a second hand shoe zone too. (in Air conditioner zone) or a tattoo service, hair extension, nail art, cosmetics and cellphone. Including, the market in the outdoor of this place, there are many food stalls.

Open every day at 10 a.m.– 10 p.m.

How was it?  For this trip with bus no.8, we take every to travel all the day from morning until the night.
