Exploring Thonburi side @Klongsan Plaza
Bangkok is a place where foreigners think of as the first place when talking about Thailand. In fact, Bangkok can be divided into two sides, namely the Phra Nakhon side and the Thonburi side. Anyway, we are TUK TUK Studio will take everyone on the Thon Buri side to explore the place for shopping together with eating! That is “Khlongsan Plaza”, a collection of delicious food & fashion clothes in various styles. Let’s go!
“Khlongsan Plaza” or “Khlongsan Market” is located along the Klongsan waterside. It’s next to the ICONSIAM shopping store. It is said that this market is filled with many foods and goods with the cheap price. So, don’t miss to come here! Alright, let’s see together!
The army marches on its stomach… So, let’s start with the food first. When walking inside, will find “De Oko Sushi” on the left side. Available in variety of sashimi, sushi and rice balls (onigiri), start from the priced at 10 baht per piece.

Legendary bread shop as “Wang Lang Bakery”, was in this market as well!! Just walking through, smell the bread float come touch the nose~
Soft bread and stuff with filling, made fresh from the oven daily!
This is “Aiw Kuay”, is a kind of snack that Thai people know little about it. The ancient Chinese snack food, considered as the rare item! Haha!
There are also 6 filling (cabbage, garlic chive, bamboo shoots, yam-bean, soy and taro), 10 baht per piece. Try it!
The crispy outer and soft in chewy. The filling is delicious, especially cabbage filling, mixed with black pepper. Guaranteed to be absolutely delicious!
For those who like to eat meatballs, must come to this shop! “Sud Yod Luk Chin” is available in both pork balls & meatballs. The price is 10 baht. (Thai: Luk Chin = meatballs)
The grilled meatballs with spicy sauce, eat it while still hot. Yummy!

Continuing to come with at the highlight shop, popular in Khlong San area! That is “Bua Loi Khlongsan” (Thai: Bua Loi = Rice flour ball in coconut milk). For anyone coming the Klongsan Plaza, have to visit this shop!!
This is “Bua Loi with Salted Egg”, chewy rice flour ball and pandanus leaf scent from coconut milk topped. And also yummy with salted eggs. There are both taro, corn and yam-bean. This cup gets a full 10 point!!
For the price, with salted egg 30-40 baht, with sweet egg 25-35 baht and common Bua Loi 20 baht.
After that, let’s go shopping for burn the food out!

How to going to Klongsan Plaza?
- BTS Skytrain -Get off at Saphan Taksin Station, Exit 1, then take a boat from Sathorn Pier to Pepsi Pier. When going up from the pier and walking straight out on the road & crossing to the opposite side, then will find “Klongsan Plaza”
Or get off at Krung Thon Buri Station, Exit 1, then continue going to the bus.
- Bus no. 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 19, 37, 40, 42, 43, 57, 85, 88, 89, 105, 111, 149 and ปอ.6, 8, 89, 167
- Boat: take the boat ferry at Si Phraya Pier cross to Khlong San Pier, fee 3.50 baht / person.
- Car: start from Wongwian Yai drive along Lat Ya Rd, heading to Khlong San. When reaching the Klongsan intersection, turn right to overpass into Charoennakorn Rd. until you find Taksin Hospital. Turn right and continue to drive will see Khlongsan Plaza signboard.
Time: open every day: Monday – Friday at 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. / Saturday – Sunday at 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
